In 2022 a bill was signed to officially designate Strawberry Shortcake the official dessert of Florida. (Key lime pie is the official state pie) Florida produces 75% of the United State’s winter strawberry crop.

This is a twist on the original recipe which has a biscuit like shortcake. It is then filled with strawberries and whipped cream. This is a moist and delicious yellow cake. Fresh strawberries are in between the cake layers. Its finished off with a very smooth Strawberry Swiss Buttercream. (I promise you the frosting is a dream)
